Rust-Oleum Farm & Implement Spray Paint is the aerosol version of the same oil-based alkyd enamel, built on the Stops Rust formula for rust protection, chip resistance and color retention in bright original equipment colors. A 12 oz can is sized for touch-ups and small jobs on tractors, implements, trailers and mowers.

Surface prep: Wash off dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants, and clean mold or mildew with a chlorinated cleaner or bleach solution. On steel, scrape and wire brush or power tool clean to remove loose rust, scale and failed coatings. Rust-Oleum specifies Rusty Metal Primer for sound rusted metal and Clean Metal Primer for clean metal before the finish coat. Sand smooth or glossy previously coated surfaces to give the enamel a profile.

Tip: Shake the can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Hold it upright 10 to 16 in. from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, keeping the can moving with each stroke slightly overlapping. Two or more light coats a few minutes apart beat one heavy coat. Apply between 50 and 90 deg F with humidity below 85 percent, and mask generously - overspray carries a significant distance. Clear the valve after use by turning the can upside down and spraying for 3-5 seconds. Clean wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Do not use near open flame.

Note: Every monitor displays color differently. If an exact equipment match matters, test the color on a hidden area or against the machine before painting a full panel.
