TYPE K SOFT COPPER TUBING - 3/4" x 60 FTHeavy-wall seamless copper water tube supplied as a 60-foot annealed coil. Type K carries the thickest wall of the three copper water tube types, which is why it is the usual choice for underground water service where the tube has to resist corrosion and physical stress.
- Nominal size: 3/4" (ASTM B88 water tube is designated by nominal size; the actual outside diameter is 7/8")
- Wall thickness: 0.065"
- Inside diameter: 0.745"
- Weight: 0.641 lb per foot
- Length: 60 Ft coil; JMF lists Type K coils from 1/4" to 1-1/2" in 60 Ft and 100 Ft
- ASTM B88 Type K; the thickest wall of the three water tube types (K, L and M)
- Rated working pressure: 724 PSIG at 150 deg F and 682 PSIG at 200 deg F, JMF's published rating for tube in the annealed condition, which is the condition this soft coil is supplied in
- C12200 phosphorus-deoxidized copper, 99.9% minimum copper content
- Conforms to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G, the third-party drinking water certification JMF publishes for its Type K, L and M water tube; evaluated by Underwriters Laboratories for drinking water supplies of pH 6.5 and above
- Used for water service and distribution, fire protection, solar, fuel and fuel oil, HVAC and snow melting
- Joins by sweat solder, flare or compression fittings
- Manufacturer part: 6361512869802
Tip: Ream the inside of cut ends to remove the burr that restricts flow and causes turbulence noise. Water supplies below pH 6.5 may need corrosion control to limit copper leaching.
