Short retail-boxed coil of soft copper tubing from JMF's Utility Grade line, sized for do-it-yourself repairs, appliance hookups and short runs where a full 50 or 60 foot coil is more than the job needs. Small enough to keep on the truck and soft enough to bend by hand.

• Flare and compression fittings are called out by tube outside diameter, so a 1/2" flare or compression fitting matches this tube directly; solder fittings are called out by nominal size, so this tube sweats into 3/8" copper fittings
• Length: 10 Ft coil, supplied retail boxed. JMF lists the Utility Handi Coil in 10 Ft through 50 Ft coils in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" outside diameters

JMF publishes ASTM B88 Type K, L and M with NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G drinking water certification for its water tube, and ASTM B280 for its refrigeration coils, but publishes no standard, wall thickness or pressure rating for Utility Grade

Tip: Check what your local plumbing code requires before putting any tubing in a potable water supply line - Utility Grade is not sold as a code-recognized water tube type, and JMF's Type L Handi Coil is the ASTM B88 version of the same short-coil format. Deburr the inside and outside of a cut end before forming a flare so the flare rolls evenly instead of splitting.
