Milwaukee bi-metal T-shank jigsaw blades fuse high-speed steel teeth to a flexible spring-steel body, an industry-standard construction that lasts up to 10 times longer than carbon-steel and stays straight under heavy cutting. The 3" length is the short-stroke blade for tight cuts close to a wall or in cramped work, and the 14 TPI tooth count is the thick-metal count -- larger, more aggressive teeth chip through metal tubing and stock 1/4" and thicker faster than a high-TPI blade can, without overheating or loading up.

Application Tip: Use medium-to-low speed and firm steady feed pressure on thick metal. For tubing, clamp the work so it cannot vibrate and start the cut on the wall closest to you. A light bead of cutting oil along the cut line keeps the teeth cool and dramatically extends blade life on plate and pipe.

Selection Tip: Pick the 14 TPI when stock is 1/4" or thicker. For thin sheet metal under 1/8", step up to a 24 TPI blade -- the higher tooth count keeps three or more teeth in the cut at all times and prevents snagging.
