WATTS ANKA REINFORCED NYLON 90-DEGREE ELBOW - 1"Make a 90-degree turn in 1" ID-sized polyethylene pipe, garden hose, or washdown line without tools or extra fittings. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body with bright blue captive compression nuts on each end is the ANKA signature - approved for potable water, non-corrosive in fertilizer and chlorinated lines, and rated 230 PSI at 140 deg F. Used in agricultural irrigation, rural water service, hydroponic systems, marine washdown, and contractor garden-hose work.
- Barb x barb 90-degree elbow for 1" ID PE pipe, tube, or hose
- Fiberglass-reinforced nylon - non-corrosive in fertilizer, chlorine, and saltwater
- Two captive blue compression nuts hand-tighten; no clamps or tools needed
- UV stabilized for above-ground service; approved for potable water
- Max 230 PSI at 140 deg F; reusable after disassembly
- Accommodates a range of PE wall thicknesses with one fitting size
Common 1" applications: main irrigation supply turning around a building, pump-discharge bend out of a well house, marine deck-wash hose loop, and the corner of a 1" PE feeder running along a fence line out to a remote watering point. Often paired with ANKA reducing couplings to break down to 1/2" or 3/4" lateral branches downstream of the turn.
Tip: The 1" PE pipe end gets noticeably stiffer in cool weather - warm each end in roughly 140 deg F tap water for 20-30 seconds before sliding it over the barbs, then let the joint cool before pressurizing so the pipe wall re-grips the barb shoulders for a leak-tight seal.
