Drive flush with a finish hammer or set slightly below the surface with a nail set.

Tip: 18-gauge wire nails are the thinnest in the wire-nail range -- ideal for picture frames, cigar boxes, fine trim, and hobby work where splitting risk needs to stay low. At 3/4" it suits thin trim layers, screen frame assembly, and craft work without poking through 3/4" stock. For exterior or damp-location work, switch to a galvanized finish nail instead -- bright nails will rust.
