The Irwin 5/16" glass and tile drill bit uses a precision-ground tungsten carbide spear point to cut clean, round holes in glass, ceramic tile, mirrors, and marble without chipping or cracking. A mid-range size well suited for mounting hardware and anchors in tiled walls and glass surfaces.

Tip: Mark the drill point with masking tape to prevent wandering, run the drill at a slow speed with light pressure, and keep the surface wet to control heat and extend bit life. Avoid hammer-drill mode on glass or tile - it will crack the workpiece.
