Rust-Oleum Varathane Ultimate Water-Based Polyurethane, called Crystal Clear Polyurethane on Rust-Oleum's data sheet, in an 11.25 oz aerosol. It dries crystal clear over interior wood and leaves no brush marks, so it suits spindles, louvers, carvings and other detail work.

Tip: Apply between 55 and 90 deg F with relative humidity below 85 percent, and not in direct sunlight. Sand lightly with 220-grit between coats; Rust-Oleum recommends a minimum of four coats of the spray for maximum durability. When you are done, clear the valve by turning the can upside down and spraying for 5 seconds.
