Rust-Oleum Varathane Ultimate Water-Based Polyurethane, called Crystal Clear Polyurethane on Rust-Oleum's data sheet, protects interior wood from scratches and stains with a crystal-clear finish that lets the wood show through. It is low odor, self-leveling and cleans up with soap and water.

• Water-based acrylic-modified urethane for interior wood
• Finish: Semi-Gloss
• Crystal clear; the coating looks milky while wet and dries clear
• For stained, bare or painted wood: furniture, doors, window frames, cabinets and trim; not recommended for linoleum, vinyl, glazed tile or metal
• Self-leveling for a smooth finish
• Coverage: 400-500 sq ft per gallon, or roughly 100-125 sq ft per quart
• Dries to the touch in 30 minutes and can be recoated after 2 hours
• Apply with a synthetic-bristle brush, foam brush or applicator; stir thoroughly, do not shake
• Low odor; cleans up with soap and water
• Size: Gallon

Tip: Apply between 55 and 90 deg F with relative humidity below 85 percent, and not in direct sunlight. Rust-Oleum recommends a minimum of three brush-on coats. If a coat has dried more than 24 hours, sand it lightly before recoating. Allow 24 hours before light use and 3 days before normal use, and test first over white or pastel paints and stains, where discoloration can occur.
