READY SEAL is an oil-based, semi-transparent stain-and-sealer-in-one: a blend of oil, quality resins, and finely ground pigments that penetrates down into the wood pores instead of forming a film on the surface, so the texture and grain stay visible. Use it on fences, decks, cedar siding, log homes, pergolas, gazebos, playsets, boat docks, and outdoor furniture, and on pressure-treated lumber, cedar, redwood, spruce, pine, fir, and North American hardwoods.

• Leaves no laps, runs, or streaks; no back-brushing required
• Does not crack, chip, flake, or peel
• Trans-oxide pigments absorb UV radiation to help protect the wood surface
• Not based on linseed or vegetable oils, which are known to promote algae and fungus growth in wood
• Apply with a brush, 3/8" nap roller, pump-up garden sprayer, or airless sprayer (40-60 PSI, 211 or 213 tip)
• Apply one uniform coat; porous wood may take a second coat after 45 minutes. Do not over-saturate or allow puddling.
• Practical coverage 125-175 sq ft per gallon, varying with wood type, application, and porosity
• Dry times at 70-80 deg F: recoat 45 minutes, light traffic 48-72 hours, full cure 72 hours
• Alkyd resin with inorganic pigment; 81.5-82.8% solids by weight; VOC under 250 g/L
• Life expectancy 1-3 years on horizontal surfaces and 3-5 years on vertical surfaces; recoat after a light cleaning with no sanding or stripping required

Before you start: The wood must be clean, prepped, and dried to 12% moisture or less. For exterior, above-ground use. Do not tint READY SEAL or mix it with other brands or types of stain or sealer - READY SEAL colors may be intermixed with each other. Clean tools and spills with mineral spirits.

Caution: Rags or waste soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place them in a sealed, water-filled metal container.

Note: Color varies with wood species, age, and porosity. Test in an inconspicuous area first to confirm the color before staining the whole project.
