National Hardware's door stops are designed to prevent a door from damaging a wall or wall molding. This is the 5" V239 body: it surface-mounts to the face of the door for easy DIY installation, kicks down to hold the door open, and the spring design holds the stop in the up position when it is not in use. Installation: National's installation guide for the V239 calls for a 7/64" (2.8 mm) pilot hole. Mark and drill the holes in the door, then fasten the stop with the screws supplied.
