Ring-shank nails resist pull-out under cyclic loading - the right pick for subfloors, sheathing, and exterior decking where wet/dry cycling otherwise backs nails out.

Finish Tip: Bright-coated nails are intended for interior, dry-service framing. For pressure-treated lumber (ACQ/CA), cedar, redwood, or exterior exposed connections, switch to a hot-dip galvanized or stainless framing nail to avoid corrosion-driven failure of the connection.
