The 320 grit (ultra fine) abrasive is built for between-coat scuffing on lacquer, polyurethane, and clear finishes, and light de-nibbing of dust specks before the next coat.

Tip: At 320 grit you are scuffing the surface, not removing material. Three or four light passes is enough between top coats; over-sanding burns through the previous coat.
