NATIONAL UTILITY PULL - BRASSNational Hardware bar-type utility pull with rounded bow profile for comfortable grip on screen doors, drawer fronts, tool chest lids, shed doors, gates, and equipment lockers. Stamped steel body with brass-plated finish to coordinate with traditional door hardware on residential entries and interior cabinetry; mounting screws included.
- Overall length: 5-3/4"
- Projection from mounting surface: 1-3/8"
- Body: stamped steel
- Finish: brass plating (warm gold)
- Mounting hardware: two wood screws included
- Use on: wood or metal doors, drawer fronts, tool chest lids, screen doors, gate panels, shed doors, equipment lockers, large drawers
Installation Tip: Position the pull at a comfortable hand height for the application - typically 36" to 42" off the floor for screen and shed doors, or centered on drawer or lid faces. Mark and pilot-drill both screw holes through the panel; oversize pilots slightly in hardwood and use sheet-metal screws instead of the supplied wood screws on steel doors. For panels thicker than 1-1/2" or for pulls that will see heavy daily use, step up to longer #10 wood screws so the pull anchors into structural framing rather than just the door skin.
Finish Selection Tip: Brass coordinates with traditional door hardware lines (hinges, knockers, kick plates) on residential entries and with brass-pull cabinetry on craft and built-in furniture. For sheltered exterior use, brass plating holds up well but will patina with direct sun and salt air; step up to solid brass hardware or to galvanized for harsh outdoor exposure.
Note: Rated for hand-pull operation, not as a load-bearing carry handle. For luggage, tool, or equipment cases that will be lifted by the handle, step up to a load-rated chest handle line.
