Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel is an ultra durable, corrosion-resistant oil-based enamel that applies directly to metal. Rust-Oleum lists it for superior coverage over metal, wood, ceramic and more, for indoor and outdoor surfaces.

• Gloss Sail Blue finish
• Oil modified alkyd enamel, mineral spirits solvent; 7.4-9.9 lb per gallon, 51.0-52.2% solids by weight (37.0-42.3% by volume), VOC under 485 g/l
• Practical coverage 50-90 sq ft per quart at the recommended 1.5-2.5 mil dry film thickness
• Dries to touch in 2-4 hours, to handle in 5-9 hours; recoat after 24 hours
• Apply with a good quality brush, roller or spray gun; for air spray thin up to 15% with acetone
• Apply between 50-90 deg F with humidity below 85%; dry heat resistance 200 deg F

Tip: Previously coated surfaces must be sound; scuff-sand smooth, hard or glossy finishes to create a surface profile. Rust-Oleum suggests a test patch over unknown coatings.

Important: Not for use on galvanized steel, or on surfaces that will exceed 200 deg F.
