Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Bright Coat Metallic in the brush-on grade gives a bright, reflective aluminum finish with the rust prevention of the Stops Rust oil-based enamel line. Applies directly to metal by brush, roller or spray gun for railings, gates, tools, trim and accent work.

• Bright aluminum metallic finish
• Oil modified alkyd enamel, mineral spirits solvent; 7.9 lb per gallon, 46.0% solids by weight (34.5% by volume), VOC under 485 g/l
• Practical coverage 80-120 sq ft per quart at the recommended 1.5-2.5 mil dry film thickness
• Dries to touch in 2-4 hours, to handle in 5-9 hours; recoat after 24 hours
• Stir thoroughly before use; brush and roller application normally need no thinning. If thinning is required use acetone - not gasoline, lacquer thinner or turpentine
• Brush with light, even strokes; on rough surfaces use a 3/8 in. nap roller and cover about one square yard at a time
• Apply between 50-90 deg F with humidity below 85%; dry heat resistance 200 deg F
• Wire brush loose rust first; Rust-Oleum recommends 7769 Rusty Metal Primer on sound rusted or clean metal and 7780 Clean Metal Primer on clean metal
• Clean brushes and tools with mineral spirits; 5 year shelf life

Tip: Stir thoroughly before use - the metallic flakes settle to the bottom of the can and must be re-dispersed for a uniform sheen.

Important: Not for use on galvanized steel, or on surfaces that will exceed 200 deg F. Rust-Oleum states specifically that Clear Enamel must not be applied over Stops Rust Bright Coat Finish or Aluminum Finish.
