WATTS ANKA REINFORCED NYLON MALE ELBOW - 1-1/4"

Turn 90 degrees from a male NPT threaded port into 1-1/4" ID polyethylene pipe, braided vinyl tubing, garden hose, or washdown line - no extra fittings needed. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body with a 1-1/4" male NPT one end and an ANKA captive blue compression nut on the other is the signature of the Watts ANKA agricultural fittings line: approved for potable water, non-corrosive in fertilizer and chlorinated lines, and rated 230 PSI at 140 deg F.

The 1-1/4" male elbow is the agricultural and commercial-scale size: bends an ag pump or shut-off valve outlet into a 1-1/4" PE main, routes the corner on livestock waterer supply lines, makes the turn off a fire-tank or pond-fill threaded port, and feeds the main supply on hobby farms or commercial irrigation rigs. Common upstream of a manifold where the main steps down to 1" or smaller laterals via ANKA reducing fittings.

Tip: Apply 2-3 wraps of PTFE thread tape to the male NPT threads - no pipe dope. Warm the 1-1/4" PE pipe end in roughly 140 deg F water for 30 seconds to soften it for insertion. If a hand-tight blue nut still weeps at 230 PSI, a strap wrench (not channel locks) gives controlled extra torque without crushing the nylon body.
