Tip: 1/2" width is the homeowner standard for water-supply threaded joints - faucet shanks, hose-bib stems, washing-machine valves, and small irrigation fittings. 260" (about 22 Ft) is the pocket-roll size, enough for a faucet swap, a few hose-bib repairs, or a sink-supply replacement. Wrap 3 to 5 turns clockwise around the male threads in the direction the fitting tightens.
