VARATHANE OIL-BASED POLYURETHANE - QUARTRust-Oleum Varathane Premium Polyurethane Oil-Based Wood Finish is an oil-modified polyurethane that gives interior wood abrasion and scratch resistance while letting the grain show through with high clarity. Rust-Oleum describes it as adding a warm, golden glow that deepens over time, and the self-leveling formula lays down without brush strokes.
- Oil-modified polyurethane (urethane-modified alkyd) for interior wood
- Finish: Semi-Gloss
- For furniture, doors, cabinets and trim; Rust-Oleum does not recommend it for floors, linoleum, vinyl, glazed tile or metal (use Varathane Floor Finishes on floors)
- Self-leveling for a smooth film with no brush strokes
- Coverage: 290-575 sq ft per gallon, or 75-150 sq ft per quart
- Dries to the touch in 1-2 hours, recoat after 4 hours, fully cured in 72 hours
- Apply with a good-quality natural-bristle brush or applicator; stir thoroughly, do not shake
- Clean up with mineral spirits or paint thinner
- Can cause discoloration over white or lightly painted surfaces; test an inconspicuous area first
- Size: Quart
Tip: Apply between 55 and 90 deg F with relative humidity below 85 percent. Rust-Oleum recommends a minimum of three coats. If a coat has dried more than 12 hours, sand it lightly before recoating.
