Connect a 3/4" female NPT threaded port directly to 3/4" ID polyethylene pipe, braided vinyl tubing, garden hose, or washdown line - no extra fittings needed. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body with a 3/4" female NPT thread on one end and an ANKA captive blue compression nut on the other is the signature of the Watts ANKA agricultural fittings line: approved for potable water, non-corrosive in fertilizer and chlorinated lines, and rated 230 PSI at 140 deg F.

The 3/4" female coupling is the workhorse residential size: threads directly onto a hose-bib spigot, brass shut-off valve outlet, or 3/4" male pipe nipple at the start of a yard irrigation run. Common downstream of a backflow preventer, pressure regulator, or fertilizer-injector to feed a 3/4" PE main or contractor washdown line.

Tip: Apply 2-3 wraps of PTFE thread tape to the mating male NPT threads - no pipe dope, which can soften the nylon over time. Hand-tighten the coupling 2-3 turns past finger-tight; do not crank with channel locks because over-torque can crack the nylon hex on the female end.
