WATTS ANKA REINFORCED NYLON FEMALE COUPLING - 1-1/2"

Connect a 1-1/2" female NPT threaded port directly to 1-1/2" ID polyethylene pipe, braided vinyl tubing, garden hose, or washdown line - no extra fittings needed. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body with a 1-1/2" female NPT thread on one end and an ANKA captive blue compression nut on the other is the signature of the Watts ANKA agricultural fittings line: approved for potable water, non-corrosive in fertilizer and chlorinated lines, and rated 230 PSI at 140 deg F.

  • Barb x 1-1/2" female NPT straight coupling for ID-sized PE pipe, tube, or hose
  • Fiberglass-reinforced nylon - non-corrosive in fertilizer, chlorine, and saltwater
  • Captive blue compression nut hand-tightens on the barb end; no clamps or tools needed
  • UV stabilized for above-ground service; approved for potable water
  • Max 230 PSI at 140 deg F; reusable after disassembly
  • Double-barbed insert accommodates a range of PE wall thicknesses

The 1-1/2" female coupling is the largest in the ANKA agricultural line: threads onto a 1-1/2" male nipple at large ag pump discharges, well-house manifolds, pond-fill or fire-tank ports, and large commercial irrigation mains. Common upstream of the main manifold on hobby farms, commercial vegetable operations, and rural water-supply networks where flow volume rules out smaller fittings.

Tip: Apply 2-3 wraps of PTFE thread tape to the mating male NPT threads - no pipe dope. At this diameter the PE pipe is quite stiff; warm it in roughly 140 deg F water for 30 seconds before insertion. A strap wrench on the male threaded mate gives controlled torque; never use channel locks on the nylon body.
