GARDNER BENDER HEAT SHRINK TUBING - 3/16"Gardner Bender 3/16" heat shrink tubing provides reliable insulation and abrasion protection for wire splices, cord repairs, and cable bundling. The black flame-retardant polyolefin shrinks 2:1 when heat is applied, forming a smooth tight-fitting cover that resists solvents, fluids, and moisture.
- Expanded diameter 3/16"; shrinks 2:1 to 3/32"
- 4 inch length per piece
- Flame-retardant black polyolefin construction
- Continuous operating temperature: -67 to 275 degrees F
- Shrinks when heated to 250 degrees F; self-extinguishing within 30 seconds
- 600V dielectric strength
- Resists common solvents and fluids
- Meets UL 224, CSA C22.2 No.3 198.1, MIL-DTL-23053/5
- Multi-piece blister card
- Fits 3/16 inch wire diameters; common for headphone cords and small repair work
Tip: Apply heat from a heat gun for the cleanest result, working evenly around the tube so it shrinks uniformly. Slide the tube over the wire before connecting; heating the tubing in place after the splice is made gives the tightest seal.
