The SharkBite MAX 90 degree elbow joins 1/2" potable water lines with no soldering, glue, clamps, or special tools - just push the pipe into the fitting until it bottoms out. Install Tip: Cut the pipe square, deburr the end, and mark the insertion depth before pushing the fitting on - the SharkBite depth gauge molded into the fitting body shows the target. Pushing short of the grip ring is the most common cause of a slow-drip joint.

Removal: Use SharkBite disconnect tongs or a disconnect clip to depress the release collar evenly while pulling the pipe straight back. The fitting is reusable if the grip ring is intact.
