Reduce one pipe size to another inside a single threaded joint. The 1/4" male end of this Anderson Metals hex bushing threads into a larger female port, and its 1/8" female end accepts the next fitting, so no separate coupling or nipple is needed. The hex body gives a wrench a positive grip for tightening and removal.
