Anderson Metals lead-free brass flare male elbow provides a 90-degree turn between 3/8" SAE 45-degree flare tubing and 1/4" male pipe thread (NPT). Forged from lead-free brass for potable water, gas appliance, and refrigeration service where lead-free compliance is required.

Standard size for gas appliance flex connectors - clothes dryers, water heaters, wall heaters, and gas grills. The 3/8" flare provides ample flow for typical appliance demand and pairs with most CSST/copper flex flare connectors on the market.

Tip: Apply PTFE thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the MPT threads only - the flare seal is metal-to-metal and must stay clean. Use a single-pass flaring tool to form a clean SAE 45-degree flare on the tubing end; double-flare or short flares will leak. Hand-thread the flare nut onto the fitting, then snug with a backup wrench on the elbow body to avoid twisting the tubing.
