Tip: Use 2 mil for short-term floor protection during painting, dust barriers stapled between rooms during renovation, furniture covers during framing or drywall work, and masking large fixtures and HVAC during spray work. It handles light foot traffic but is not a long-service vapor barrier. Cut sections oversize by roughly 12 inches per side so you have material to tuck, tape, or pin without restretching across the work area.
