Ali Industries Gator 7266 is a 3-pack of silicon carbide sanding sheets in 220 grit (Fine). Silicon carbide is the finish-sanding abrasive -- sharper and harder than aluminum oxide, it cuts cleanly through cured lacquer, polyurethane, varnish, and enamel without loading up. The waterproof paper backing lets you wet-sand for the smoothest between-coat scuff.

Use Tip: Wet-sand at 220 with soapy water for a satin surface that grips the next coat without leaving scratches through the finish.

Care Tip: For wet sanding, a drop of dish soap in the water breaks the surface tension and improves the cut. Rinse and dry the sheet before storing so the backing doesn't warp.
