Proluxe (formerly Sikkens) Log & Siding is a high-performance translucent satin finish for exterior log homes, siding, trim, beams, and garage doors. The high-solids alkyd-oil formula lays down a premium two-coat finish that lets the natural wood grain show through while protecting the wood from sun and weather.

• Translucent satin finish in Natural (nearly clear, lets the wood's own color show)
• High-solids alkyd-oil formula -- two-coat application
• UV absorbers and transoxide pigments protect color and the wood beneath
• Flexible resin chemistry expands and contracts with the wood to resist cracking and peeling
• Water-repellent and mildew-resistant
• Coverage: 300-500 sq ft per gallon depending on wood surface and absorbency
• Dry time: 12 hours to touch, 24 hours before recoat
• Cleanup with mineral spirits

Suitable for cedar, fir, pine, spruce, and redwood. Not for horizontal surfaces subject to foot traffic (use a deck-rated finish for decks and walkways).

Tip: Apply at 50-90 deg F to fresh, clean, dry wood -- not in direct hot sun. Brush application gives the best penetration; back-brush after spraying or rolling to work the finish into the grain. Two thin coats outlast one heavy coat by a wide margin and avoid the lap marks and skin issues that come with thick film build.
