CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC DWV 22.5-DEGREE ELBOW, SCHEDULE 40 - 6"Short-radius 22.5-degree (1/16 bend) hub x hub elbow for making gentle directional changes in 6" PVC drain, waste, and vent piping. Schedule 40 wall thickness and a solvent-welded joint keep the fitting as rigid as the surrounding pipe, so the bend does not become a slow-point or a weak spot in a commercial drain or building-sewer transition.
- Connection: 6" hub x 6" hub (solvent-weld socket both ends)
- Angle: 22.5 degrees (sixteenth bend / 1/16 bend)
- Schedule 40 PVC, white
- Dual rated to ASTM D1785 (pressure) and ASTM D2665 (DWV)
- NSF listed
- Non-pressure DWV service; maximum operating temperature 140 deg F
- Made in the USA
Applications: Gentle offsets in 6" commercial DWV mains, light-commercial building drains, and large building-sewer transitions; combining two 22.5-degree elbows back-to-back yields a 45-degree offset, useful for routing a large drain around a foundation or grade obstruction without the flow-restriction of a 90.
Installation tip: Cut the pipe square, deburr the ID and OD, then dry-fit so the hub bottoms a third to two thirds of the way before cementing. Use PVC primer (purple) on both surfaces, then heavy-bodied PVC cement (recommended for 6" diameter) on the pipe OD and elbow ID, push together with a quarter turn, and hold thirty seconds. Two 22.5s separated by a short nipple give a smoother flow path than a single 45 in tight horizontal drain offsets.
Note: Not for use with hot-water distribution, compressed air, or fuel gas. For above-ground sanitary drainage only.
