USP PAF POST ANCHOR, TRIPLE-ZINC

The PAF post anchor secures a wood post to a concrete footing and holds it 1" above the concrete surface, as required by code, so the end grain stays out of standing water. The PAF is a one-piece design that replaces the older PA and PAE series.

  • Fits 6 x 6 nominal posts (MiTek stock no. PAF66-TZ)
  • 14-gauge steel, one-piece design
  • G-185 triple-zinc galvanizing for use with pressure-treated lumber
  • 1" stand-off plate elevates the post above the concrete (IRC R317.1.4, IBC 2304.12.2.2)
  • Dimensions: 5-11/16" W x 3-1/4" H x 4-15/16" L
  • Anchor bolt: (1) 5/8" diameter, minimum 4" embedment into minimum 2,500 psi concrete
  • Post fasteners: (8) 10d or 16d hot-dipped galvanized nails
  • Allowable bearing load (DF/SP): 10,870 lb with 10d HDG nails, 12,040 lb with 16d HDG nails
  • Allowable uplift (DF/SP, 160%): 1,375 lb
  • ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-3449
  • Anchor bolts and nails are not included
  • Manufacturer part: PAF66-TZ

Important: Not recommended for fence posts or other unrestrained applications where the post is not fixed or fastened at the top. These anchors are not designed to resist overturning (moment) loads. A minimum 2" edge distance from the outermost edge of the post base to the edge of the concrete is required to achieve the allowable loads.
