Use Tip: Replace the packing nut whenever you replace the graphite packing (10101) and packing support washer (10102). Snug only until water flow at the stem stops -- over-tightening crushes the packing and binds the operating rod.

Service Note: All Woodford IOWA repairs can be made from the top of the hydrant without removing the unit from the ground. Shut off the water supply at the main before disassembling the head.
