ULTRA CLEAR ROOF WATERPROOF RUBBERIZED SEALANTDAP Ultra Clear Roof is a crystal clear elastomeric synthetic rubber sealant that stops and prevents minor roof leaks. It seals roof fixtures and penetrations against water, air and moisture and dries to an invisible patch - the right pick anywhere a black asphalt patch would show: skylights, sun tunnels, white or pastel-shingle roofs, RV and trailer roofs, and exposed flashing on architectural shingles. It goes on in weather that stops other products, bonding to wet or damp surfaces and even through standing water, and it is rain ready immediately without washing out.
- Size: 32 fl oz (Quart) can
- Color: Crystal Clear - applies clear and stays clear, will not yellow with age or UV exposure
- Elastomeric synthetic rubber - stays permanently flexible and crackproof, even in cold weather
- All-weather application: bonds to wet and damp surfaces and through standing water
- Application temperature range 0 deg F to 120 deg F
- Immediately rain ready - will not wash out
- 100% waterproof and weatherproof; cured sealant is mold and mildew resistant
- Paintable with latex paint after 24 hours of drying
- Bonds to asphalt, shingles, roof tile, flashing, gutters, downspouts, skylights, vents, most metals, most plastics, glass, concrete, brick, mortar, stucco, stone and terra cotta
- Clean up wet sealant with mineral spirits, not water
- Not for continuous underwater submersion or containment; will not adhere to polypropylene, polyethylene, silicone, polystyrene or wax
Tip: Remove the lid and brush or trowel the sealant on in even strokes, extending 3" to 4" past the problem area. Apply 1/8" to 1/4" thick - do not exceed 1/4" thick, DAP limits the film thickness for flammability reasons. Remove ice or frost before you start, push the sealant down onto wet surfaces to displace water, and let each coat dry completely (up to 24 hours) before recoating.
