The Metal Series is Century Drill & Tool's heavy metal-cutting reciprocating blade. Cobalt matrix teeth are fused to a flexible, shatterproof, shock absorbing alloy backbone for rugged cutting, and a nitro hardening process gives the blade a manufacturer rating of 20X the life of a standard bi-metal blade in metal applications. The 8/10 tooth pattern is the coarser of the two Metal Series pitches and clears a heavier chip, which suits thicker stock.

Tip: Metal cuts go better slow than fast: run the saw at a reduced speed, let the blade do the work without forcing it, and use a cutting lubricant to carry chips out of the kerf. Switch the orbital action off for thin-wall material so the teeth do not grab.
