A PSC motor in an aluminum housing drives a closed vane impeller, and a piggyback tethered float switch cycles the pump automatically. The 1/2 HP RL-SP50T moves 3523 gallons per hour at zero lift and 2697 GPH against a 10 ft discharge height, with a shut-off head of 26 ft.

Tip: Size a sump pump by the lift it actually has to make, not by horsepower alone. Measure from the pump up to the height of the discharge line and read the flow at that height - this one moves 3523 GPH at zero lift but 2697 GPH at 10 feet. Check that the basin is at least 14" across so the tethered float has room to swing freely.
