HSS BRAD POINT WOOD BIT - 5/32" x 3-1/8"Century Drill & Tool brad point wood bits are designed to work for all wood projects and are especially suited to furniture making, cabinetry, and doweling where an exact hole is required. The self-centering brad point starts the bit on your mark, and the outer spurs sever the wood fibers ahead of the cutting edge so the hole walls stay clean going in and coming out.
- Bit diameter: 5/32" (0.1562" decimal equivalent)
- Cutting length: 2"
- Overall length: 3-1/8"
- Fractional and metric sizes available in the Century brad point line
- Made of heat treated high speed steel, for a longer, more useful life
- Self-centering tip for accurate, clean cuts
- Use in hand drills, electric drills, drill presses, and lathes
Tip: The 2" cutting length is the usable hole depth, so check your stock thickness before you start. In deeper holes, back the bit out now and then to clear chips, and put scrap behind the workpiece so the exit face stays clean.
