Tip: Snug the jaws tight on the work and pull so the load presses against the fixed jaw rather than the movable one - the movable jaw is the weaker side and can flex or strip the fastener under heavy load. Avoid using the wrench as a hammer or pry bar; that bends the handle and loosens the worm gear. Wipe the jaw pivots dry and add a drop of light oil to the thumbwheel periodically to keep adjustment smooth.
