Forged brass three-way tee for 1/2" flared tubing. The 45 degree flare seats metal to metal, so the joint can be taken apart and put back together many times without losing its seal - the reason flare fittings are preferred where a connection has to be serviced.

Tip: Anderson Metals gives the assembly sequence as: cut a smooth, square end on the tubing; slide the nut onto the tube with the threads facing the end; flare the tube end; then thread the nut to the body until snug and turn it a further 1/6 turn. That last step is small on purpose - a flare joint seals on the flare face, and running the nut down further splits the flare.
