Reverse-rotation flutes loosen the fastener as the bit cuts, often backing the work out before an extractor is required. Tip: Run the drill in reverse at low RPM with steady pressure. Pair with a screw extractor in the No. 3-4 / EX-3-4 size class for 5/16"-3/8" bolts, spark plugs, and brake caliper bolts if the bit alone does not free the fastener.
