The Knape & Vogt 80 Series wall standard is the slotted upright of the KV 80/180 adjustable shelving system, used for storage and display in retail stores, garages, workshops, offices and closets. Brackets lock into the single-slot standard and reposition in 1" increments, so shelf heights can be changed without redrilling.

Installation: For maximum load capacity, mount standards directly to wall studs, generally spaced 16" apart, and drive the recommended fastener - a 1-1/2" screw with a #8 body and #6 head - into every mounting hole. Knape & Vogt load ratings assume standards mounted on 16" centers; wider spacing reduces capacity. Paired with 180 Series brackets the system holds up to 320 lb per bracket pair when properly installed, with the actual rating varying by bracket size.
