Watco Danish Oil is a unique blend of penetrating oil and varnish that hardens in the wood, not on the wood. It penetrates deep into wood pores to protect from within and to enhance the natural look and feel of the wood, creating the rich, warm glow of a traditional hand-rubbed finish. Many projects can be completed in less than an hour - simply brush or wipe on and wipe off.

• For bare wood, or wood stripped and sanded smooth through #220 grit with all dust removed
• Apply one coat liberally with a brush or lint-free rag, allow it to penetrate 15 minutes, then wipe off all excess in the direction of the grain
• Removing all excess is essential for proper dry time and topcoat adhesion
• Dry times at 70-80 deg F and 50% relative humidity: recoat 15 minutes, dry to touch 6-8 hours, ready to handle 10 hours
• Topcoat with any Rust-Oleum polyurethane after a minimum of 72 hours; darker colors may need longer
• Apply only at 60-90 deg F with relative humidity below 85%
• Clean brushes and tools with mineral spirits or paint thinner, not water
• VOC 441-492 g/L; 5 year shelf life
• Tip: pre-treat soft woods such as pine by wiping on Watco Danish Oil Natural and wiping dry first

Safety: rags, brushes or waste soaked with this product can spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place them in a sealed, water-filled metal container.
