This Anderson Metals Class 150 Type 304 stainless steel cored pipe plug seals an unused 1/4" female NPT port on a pipe, valve, manifold or fitting. The cored (hollow-bored) body uses less material than a solid plug while delivering the same corrosion resistance. Stainless steel threaded fittings are excellent for uses that involve chemicals or liquids that may be corrosive, and a stainless fitting also helps prevent contamination of what is flowing through the line.

Tip: Apply 2 to 3 wraps of PTFE tape or a stainless-compatible pipe dope to the male thread, then tighten hand-tight plus one to two turns with a wrench. Stainless threads can gall under excessive torque - stop as soon as the joint seals.
