Tip: Keep the disc nearly flat to the work. Century specifies the Type 27 style for finish grinding on flat areas and outside corners, so the disc is meant to cut on its face - tipping it up on edge concentrates all the wear on the outer flaps and shortens disc life. Let the abrasive do the work; excess pressure overheats both the disc and the workpiece.
