RED DEVIL EZ GRIP TAPING KNIFE, FLEX - 5"The Red Devil EZ Grip Taping Knife pairs an ergonomically engineered handle that reduces hand fatigue over a long session with a flexible high-carbon steel blade that extends all the way through the handle. That full-length blade is what lets you lean on the tool without the blade working loose, and the flex is what lays joint compound down flat over tape.
- Blade width: 5"
- Extra sturdy high-carbon steel blade that resists rust and extends through the handle for maximum strength
- Ergonomically engineered EZ Grip handle to decrease hand fatigue
- Flexible blade feathers compound flush with the surrounding surface
- Durable brass-plated, solid steel head for setting nails and other hammering jobs
- Manufacturer model: 6216
Tip: Load the knife from a mud pan, not the bucket, and hold it at roughly a 30-degree angle to the wall. Take the compound off in one smooth pull rather than working it back and forth - overworking joint compound pulls air into it and leaves pinholes you will have to fill again.
Care: Wipe the blade clean and dry it before you set the tool down. Joint compound and spackling are easy to wipe off wet and stubborn once they cure, and a cured ridge on the edge will drag lines through your next coat.
