The 150 fine grit smooths surfaces between coarser and finish grits and is a solid choice for preparing wood and other materials before their final coat of stain or paint.

Tip: Move through grits in sequence for the smoothest result: 60 to shape and strip, 100 to smooth, 150 to prep for finish, and 220 for the final pass before stain or clear coat. Skipping more than one grade leaves visible scratches from the previous grit.
