The Kwikset #5 Master Pin is designed for use in the cylinder plug on all Kwikset pin and tumbler keyed products that are keyed to a master key system. Master keyed locks allow two different keys to open the same lock - for example, a property manager can have a key that opens every unit while each tenant has a key that only opens their specific unit.
