Big Stretch is a 100% acrylic, water-based elastomeric sealant from Sashco with powerful adhesion and extreme elasticity. It spans gaps up to 2" wide with no slump and carries a 530% maximum stretch, so it twists, bends, compresses and stretches with the movement a home sees from settling, temperature change and wind instead of cracking and losing the air and water barrier.

Use it inside and out on windows, doors, siding, vents, soffits, baseboards, crown molding and sound-proofing interior walls. Sashco lists adhesion to aluminum, steel, brass, vinyl, PVC, ABS, fiberglass, polycarbonate, wood, drywall, brick, concrete, stucco, fiber cement, mortar, stone, tile and glass.

Sold as a case of 12 cartridges. Each 10.5 oz cartridge covers about 32 lineal feet at a 1/4" bead, so a case yields roughly 384 lineal feet.

Tip: Use backer rod in joints deeper than 1/2" for proper sealant depth. Not for submersion or for walking and driving surfaces, and adhesion is poor on Kynar, polypropylene, polyethylene, silicone and waxes - test a patch first. Flat and brittle paints are more likely to crack over a moving joint.
