METABO HPT 30-DEGREE CLIPPED-HEAD PAPER-TAPE FRAMING NAILS - RING SHANK, BRIGHT - 2-3/8" x .120"

Genuine Metabo HPT (formerly Hitachi) framing nails for 30 degree paper-tape clipped-head framing nailers. Diamond-point ring shank delivers roughly 35-40 percent more withdrawal resistance than smooth-shank in pine framing lumber -- the standard choice for sheathing, subfloor, and decking where pull-out matters.

  • Type: 30 degree (+/- 2 deg) clipped head, paper-tape collated framing nails
  • Size: 2-3/8" x .120"
  • Shank: Ring Shank (8d-equivalent)
  • Finish: Bright (Uncoated Carbon Steel) -- for interior dry framing only
  • Point: Diamond point reduces splitting in dense or knotty lumber
  • Pack: 4,800 nails per box
  • Metabo HPT part 15101HPT
  • Fits: Metabo HPT NR83AA, NR83AA2, NR83AA3, RN90AA, NR90ADS1, NR90AC5, NR90AES1, plus any 30 to 34 degree paper-tape clipped-head framing nailer (common in the Bostitch, DeWalt, Senco, and Paslode lines)

Where to use: Sheathing-and-subfloor workhorse with 7/16" to 1/2" OSB or plywood -- full embedment through the panel into stud or joist with the ring profile resisting pop-out from seasonal lumber movement. Bright finish is dry interior only; for exterior sheathing exposed to weather during construction or any contact with ACQ/MCQ treated lumber, use the HDG 2-3/8" x .113" ring-shank in this family.

Tip: Run a depth test on a scrap of the actual framing stock before driving the first wall. Heads should sit flush to a hair below flush -- over-driven heads in shear-wall, hold-down, or hurricane-tie patterns can be cause for a failed inspection. Match nail finish to fastener-corrosion class across hangers, straps, and ties so the whole assembly ages together.
