STRIKE-IT CENTER PIN DRIVE ANCHOR - 5/8" x 4"The Strike-It is a hammer-set center pin drive anchor for heavy fastening into normal-weight concrete, lightweight concrete, and solid masonry. No wrench, no torque tool -- driving the center pin flush against the top of the nut expands the anchor body and automatically tensions the bolt to the engineered set load, so installation is fast and inspection is purely visual. Hole depth is not critical because the actual anchor diameter matches its nominal size, and the serrations on the underside of the nut add vibration resistance after the anchor is set.
- Size: 5/8" diameter x 4" length
- Hammer-set drive anchor -- no wrench or torque tool required
- Anchor is set when the center pin drives flush with the top of the nut (visual confirmation)
- Hot-rolled steel anchor body with hot-wrought iron drive pin
- Yellow zinc dichromate finish over the entire anchor for corrosion resistance
- Full-bodied headed bolt design for maximum tensile strength
- Serrated nut underside resists loosening under vibration
- For normal-weight concrete, lightweight concrete, and solid masonry
- Drill hole the same diameter as the anchor using a carbide-tipped masonry bit
Tip: Heavy fastening for sill plates, equipment hold-downs, structural hold-down brackets, machine skids, and anchor-bolt retrofits in poured concrete or solid block. Place the anchor in the drilled hole through the fixture, then strike the center pin squarely with a steel hammer until it stops flush against the top of the nut -- once the pin bottoms out, the anchor is fully tensioned and ready for service.
