MARSHALLTOWN BLUE STEEL TAPING KNIFE - 12"Marshalltown 12" blue spring steel taping knife for drywall finishing, joint compound application, and patching. The flexible tapered blade lays mud smoothly across paper tape, fastener spots, and seams, while the lightweight contour-grip handle reduces fatigue during long finishing sessions.
- 12" x 3" flexible blue spring steel blade
- Tapered blade edges to clear inside corners cleanly
- Plastic contour-grip handle molded over an aluminum backing plate
- Lightweight balance for extended use without hand strain
- Best for: wide finish coats on butt joints, skim coats over textured walls, broad feathering passes
- Marshalltown QLT contractor-grade series
Tip: A 12" knife shines on butt joints where there is no factory taper. Build out a mound 18 to 24 inches wide in 3 to 4 coats, feathering each edge progressively so the high spot disappears under primer.
