Connects polyethylene pipe to female-threaded fittings or pipe. The barbed insert end pushes into PE tubing and is secured with a stainless steel hose clamp; the FIPT end accepts standard NPT male threads. Molded from PVC Type 1 resin (Cell Classification 12454-B per ASTM D-1784) for strong chemical and corrosion resistance.

Tip: Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape (2-3 turns clockwise) before threading into the FIPT end, and secure the barbed end with a stainless steel hose clamp (sold separately). Hand-tighten plus one to one-and-a-half turns with a wrench - PVC threads strip easily. Cold-water service only.
